Brighton left the Goldstone Ground following the 1996-97 season, ending 95 years of football at the ground. The ground was named after the Goldstone located in Hove Park, allegedly an ancient location of importance to the Druids. The club left Goldstone for a temporary ground share with Gillingham at Priestfield, then a brief residency at Withdean Stadium, before moving to Falmer Stadium for the 2011-12 season.
